Staff group queries ‘misleading’ extracts

Extracts from documents relating to the Shaha Riza controversy published on the World Bank website as part of an effort to save Paul Wolfowitz’s career as president are misleading in at least one important respect, the World Bank staff association said on Sunday.

The summary published by Mr Wolfowitz’s office picks out two quotations from an ethics committee memorandum of July 22 2005, attributed to then general counsel Roberto Dañino.
