Crombie to step down at Standard Life

Sir Sandy Crombie, the architect of Standard Life’s 2006 demutualisation, is preparing to bow out as chief executive.

Standard Life said it would begin the search for a successor but gave no date for when Sir Sandy, who has just turned 60, will step down.
