Making most prestigious jobs less exclusive

The report makes 88 recommendations to improve social mobility and access to the professions in the face of evidence that many of the most prestigious jobs have become more, not less, socially exclusive over the years. Professionals born in 1970 typically grew up in a family with an income 27 per cent above the national average, the report says. For those born in 1958 the figure was 17 per cent
