Nokia to offer mobile payment system

Nokia on Wednesday announced that it was entering the mobile payments market, a move that is part of its new services-based strategy, and a bid to compete in the emerging market for the “mobile phone wallet”.

In a programme called Nokia Money set to debut early next year, users of some Nokia phones will be able to pay bills, make purchases and send money to other people using their handsets.
