ScS Upholstery has announced a rescue deal that will see shareholders wiped out but the business continue to trade after Sun European Partners bought the furniture chain.

“[With] the issues we had it’s the best result for staff, suppliers and customers,” said David Knight, chief executive, who will stay with the business.
