UK Signs of stability on the nation’s high streets emerged from the CBI’s latest survey of retailers, with grocers and footwear and leather outlets showing the greatest resilience.
According to the CBI’s Distributive Trades Survey for September, sales were broadly flat in the year to September, with a balance of 3 per cent more retailers reporting sales rising rather than falling.
