White Nile strikes southern Ethiopian deal

White Nile, the small UK-based oil explorer, yesterday said it had reached agreement with the Ethiopian government to search for oil in the southern part of the country.

Trading in White Nile was twice suspended on Aim this year because of concerns over market disclosure in relation to a disputed exploration deal in rebel-held Sudan and then chaotic trading in the illiquid stock.
