FT Innovative Lawyers 2008 In the face of economic slowdown, job vacancies in the legal sector are at lower levels than last year, according to Legal Week’s 2008 job satisfaction survey. “There is some irony then,” wrote the report’s authors, “that the results of this year’s survey show law firms are beginning to get recruitment and retention issues right.”
This is certainly reflected in the FT’s Innovative Lawyers rankings, in which career development programmes for fostering associates feature prominently.
