US beef back in South Korea

A container of US beef arrived in South Korea on Monday in what will be a 6.4-tonne test of Seoul’s commitment to opening its meat market as agreed in last month’s landmark bilateral trade deal.

The contents of three US beef shipments sent to South Korea last year were rejected by health inspectors on the grounds that some of the meat contained tiny slivers of bone.
