Ennstone shares plunge 20 per cent

Shares in Ennstone plunged more than 20 per cent on Monday morning as the aggregates group said it might have to raise additional funds to meet US banking covenants.

The group, which warned on profits last month, said it was “considering a number of options to strengthen its balance sheet” after talks with its UK and US banks over covenants.
