Brazil cracks down on Amazon loggers

Brazilian authorities will on Monday begin their biggest crackdown on illegal logging in the Amazon rainforest.

Some 300 federal police, troops and environmental inspectors will take part in the first stage of the operation in parts of the Amazon, where the rate of deforestation has risen quickly in recent months.
