Financiers to study reasons for turmoil

Gerald Corrigan, the former president of the New York Federal Reserve, has teamed up with leading Wall Street investors and big banks to study the crisis gripping financial markets.

The investigation, to be conducted during the spring and early summer, will seek to identify reasons for the turmoil and outline measures banks need to take to prevent a recurrence.
