Action urged on UK insolvency pre-pack deals

Confidence in the UK’s insolvency regime risks being “damaged” unless prompt action is taken to ensure that controversial pre-pack deals are transparent and free from abuse, MPs warn on Wednesday.

A report from the Commons’ business and enterprise committee attacks the deals, claiming they mean unsecured creditors are kept in the dark and recover even less than they would in a normal administration.
