Cameron praises aide's former clients

David Cameron has personally endorsed the corporate responsibility practices of several blue chip companies that happen to be former clients of his most influential political adviser, the Financial Times has learnt.

British Telecommunications, British Sky Broadcasting, BP, Nike, Asda and Coca-Cola are among more than a dozen businesses to have been praised publicly by the Conservative leader as he embraces the idea that companies should operate more ethically, shouldering environmental and social responsibilities and not simply serving the interests of their shareholders.
