Delta plans four-way Atlantic venture

Air France-KLM and Delta Air Lines expect to receive antitrust immunity this month from the US government to form a four-way transatlantic joint venture including KLM and Northwest Airlines.

The joint venture, in which Air France-KLM, Delta and Northwest would share profits and revenues and jointly plan sales, networks and capacity, would have a turnover of $12bn and would account for about 30 per cent of the North Atlantic market.
