Ofcom says Sky should share content

BSkyB’s status in the pay-television market came under threat on Friday after Ofcom outlined plans to force it to offer premium channels to operators on rival platforms.

The regulator also indicated that it would seek to toughen competition controls over future auctions for rights to broadcast Premier League football and warned that it could refer BSkyB’s subscription video-on-demand deals with Hollywood studios to the Competition Commission.
