Fraud grows as market woes deepen

Fraud levels are increasing as the international markets crisis deepens, the head of a new national financial crime-fighting body warned yesterday.

Sandra Quinn, interim chief executive of the National Fraud Strategic Authority, which starts work today, said she wanted to "change the culture" of how the public and private sectors dealt with financial crime.
