IAC beefs up internet and TV shopping units

IAC/InterActiveCorp has agreed to buy a group of catalogues and websites in a deal worth $720m as the company beefs up its internet and television shopping businesses.

IAC, Barry Diller's internet conglomerate whose brands include travel website Expedia and TV shopping network HSN, will acquire Cornerstone Brands from a group of private investors, including Madison Dearborn Partners and JP Morgan Partners, it said yesterday.
