On Wall Street: Yield curve open to interpretation

“I wish my stomach were this flat,” sighed an analyst in a research report from Bank of America this summer. He wasn’t discussing the latest trends in lean, mean, exercise-related fads but the shape of the Treasury yield curve.

After this week, investors will have to try even harder to suck in their flab, since the curve is now even flatter and, depending on who you talk to, could be poised to invert.
