A transport of delight?

Looking north from the Olympic Delivery Authority’s offices in Canary Wharf, east London, there is a striking sight.

Between the houses, factories and building sites of east London, a web of rail lines is in operation or under construction. These include open-air sections of London Underground’s Jubilee and District Lines, the Docklands Light Railway and a series of heavy-rail services. They converge around the partially-built Olympic stadium.
