Marc Bolland, chief executive of Wm Morrison, broke his silence on Thursday on his decision to jump ship to Marks and Spencer as the Bradford-based supermarket chain reported a slowdown in sales growth.
Although he would not go into details about his decision to leave Morrison after protestations that he was committed to the group, he said that the chief executive position at M&S was an “an opportunity that passed by that I could not miss”.
