With a seven million strong army of keen golfers expanding at the rate of about 15 per cent annually, Asia has become the new market place for golf – and it seems that everyone wants a slice of it.
Take a stroll along the 14th hole of the Sheshan International Golf Club on the outskirts of Shanghai, which last year staged the first HSBC Champions Tournament, and the potential immediately becomes obvious.
