Miliband rules out EU foreign policy post

David Miliband, Britain’s foreign secretary, confirmed on Wednesday he was not prepared to swap domestic politics for a new role as the European Union’s foreign policy chief, fuelling uncertainty on the carve-up of top jobs in Brussels.

Mr Miliband dispelled any lingering doubts when he said: “I came into politics to serve the people of Britain in Britain. My commitment is to Britain and the Labour government.”
