Business divided on moves to tackle climate change

Businesses are divided over the prospect of further international action to tackle climate change, which will be discussed by the Group of Eight industrialised nations this week at Gleneagles, Scotland.

A group of 24 of the world's biggest companies, including Ford, Toyota and British Airways, urged the G8 in June to bring in a worldwide system of greenhouse gas emissions limits with tradeable permits for businesses to emit a certain amount of carbon dioxide.
