Prosecutor to challenge dismissal of Zuma charges

The increasingly brutal power struggle in South Africa took a new twist yesterday when the prosecutor's office said it planned to challenge last week's court decision throwing out the corruption charges brought against Jacob Zuma.

The move will anger supporters of Mr Zuma, the frontrunner in forthcoming presidential elections, who argue that the state prosecutor has been used to block his path to the presidency.
