The Greek Cypriot government has criticised as "politically incorrect" Thursday's arrival of a US commercial mission to the unrecognised Turkish Cypriot republic in north Cyprus.

The US mission plans to advise Turkish Cypriot companies on raising finance, finding new markets and building strategic partnerships with foreign investors. It is part of a drive by Washington to reduce the economic isolation of north Cyprus and promote the island's reunification.
