Moves to aid online music providers

The European Commission is considering measures to boost the sales of online music providers in the European Union, amid concerns that the region's market for such services has fallen badly behind the US.

Brussels said on Thursday that one of the factors holding back European providers was the difficulty and cost of securing copyright in the EU's 25 member states.
