Computer Associates cuts Kumar ties

Computer Associates, the embattled US software company, yesterday cut its ties with former chief executive Sanjay Kumar in its latest attempt to move on from accounting scandals.

The company also said that it would make no severance payments to Mr Kumar, or pay him any remuneration he was already owed, until the official investigations into the company had been resolved. The departure of Mr Kumar, once one of the highest-paid executives in the software industry, completes an overhaul of the senior executive ranks at CA in recent months.
