Among those who won gold and glory in Beijing this summer was one British company that made its Olympic mark not in China’s new sports stadia, but on the nation’s television screens.

Former BBC broadcast unit Red Bee Media supplied China Central Television, the dominant state broadcaster, with glossy, computer-generated Olympic title sequences and graphics seen by hundreds of millions of viewers across the nation.
