A failure by world leaders to conclude the Doha round of trade negotiations by their year-end deadline would have dire consequences, according to the incoming head of the International Chamber of Commerce, one of the world’s largest business lobbies.

“The multilateral trading system is under a lot of pressure,” Victor Fung said in an interview with the Financial Times.
