BAA claims 'intolerable conflict of interest' in competition inquiry

BAA launched a dramatic attack on the Competition Commission yesterday, claiming that an inquiry forcing the sale of three of the operator's airports suffered from an "intolerable conflict of interest".

BAA lawyers argued at the Competition Appeal Tribunal that the conflict arose because one member of the panel had links to a potential buyer.
