Turks may face curbs if EU entry is granted

Turkey may have to accept emergency curbs on the free movement of its workers if it is to join the European Union, the European Commission is expected to say this week.

The move, which would place Turkey under permanent restrictions not applied to other EU member states, is intended to calm EU fears about a possible inflow of Turkish migrants.
