Gaz sports a ‘Made in Russia’ badge on its Siber

On a plinth outside Gaz’s corporate museum in the Volga city of Nizhny Novgorod stands the company’s first vehicle – a 1932 Ford-based truck.

The Russian company’s first plant was set up under an agreement between Ford Motor of the US and the Soviet government to mass-produce medium-duty trucks and passenger cars.
