The steel industry suffered another blow on Thursday after Corus announced 2,000 job losses, on top of 2,500 cut five months ago.

The cuts have come about because of the fall in global steel demand, but particularly in Europe, which is the Anglo-Dutch steelmaker’s biggest market.
