Fans worship at Uefa shrine in Red Square

Under a dank grey sky, the queues in Red Square were long and orderly. They were silent and respectful, as they waited patiently to pass through the security cordons.

But these were not Muscovites waiting for a glance at the embalmed tomb of Lenin. These were English football fans, dressed in the red and blue of Manchester United and Chelsea, standing in procession to worship the shrine that is the Uefa Champions League football fan zone.
