Deutsche Telekom, Europe's biggest telecommunications group, reported its fourth straight quarterly profit helped by higher revenues in its T-Mobile USA mobile phone and T-Online broadband Internet operations coupled with asset sales.

Fourth-quarter net income of ?1.42bn ($1.9bn), compared with a loss of ?364m a year earlier. Revenues increased to ?15bn from ?14.6bn.
