Saudi ambassador to US resigns

Prince Bandar bin Sultan, Saudi Arabia's ambassador to the US for more than two decades, has resigned his position.

According to people close to the Saudi government, Prince Bandar, the longest serving ambassador to Washington, has decided to quit. However, he will remain formally in his role as ambassador until an announcement from the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The announcement could take months.
