Charles Darby: ‘I want to show that India can be taken seriously for visual effects’
During a tour of EyeQube, his new special effects studio in Mumbai, Charles Darby makes a revealing remark. Pointing out how he has created open workspaces with removable walls so that his artists can easily collaborate on different projects, he says: “Most facilities tend to be cubicle-driven. I hate cubicles.”

A hatred of cubicles is the kind of thinking you would expect from any creative artist, especially a veteran of motion picture epics such as Titanic and The Matrix , and who won an Emmy award for his work on Rome, a series co-produced between the BBC and Home Box Office.
