Role of the PM's envoy to Mideast is revealed

New light has been cast on the diplomatic role played by Lord Levy, one of Tony Blair's closest confidants, whose engagements with Middle East leaders were published on Friday under the Freedom of Information Act.

The peer - who has long been the prime minister's personal representative in the region as well as the Labour party's chief fundraiser - has made no less than 75 foreign visits since 1999.
