A retired British businessman accused of running a global cartel on carbon components is facing extradition to the US within the next 28 days after losing a protracted legal battle.

US prosecutors have been pursuing Ian Norris, former head of Morgan Crucible, for more than five years, repeatedly describing him as one of the main targets of a high-profile crackdown on international crime.
