UK keeps up EU fight over flexible hours

Britain will continue to fight for the rights of employees to choose how many hours they want to work Pat Fadden, UK employment minister, said on Thursday after attempts by the European Union to resolve a row over the issue collapsed.

Talks between the European parliament and EU governments in Brussels failed to reach agreement on proposals that threatens to end Britain’s opt-out from EU rules limiting the working week to 48 hours.
