Pensions sector bucks the trend

The US defined contribution market has remained a relatively bright spot despite the doom and gloom in the financial services industry.

While there have been cutbacks across the board, some asset managers and insurance companies that provide retirement investment products and services have been spared from making the significant cuts to personnel and product offerings that others have been forced to make. In some cases the contrary is occurring.
