Green faces contest in pursuit of Baugur debt

Sir Philip Green, owner of BHS and Topshop, faces competition in his pursuit of the Baugur debt as venture capital firms and banks assess prospects for a deal.

The complexity of unravelling Baugur’s tangled finances is also holding up a quick transaction, with the ownership in doubt of some of the equity derivatives used to build stakes in companies such as Debenhams and Moss Bros.
