President George W. Bush announced on Wednesday that 14 of the alleged most high-profile al-Qaeda terrorists who had been held in secret CIA custody had been moved to Guantánamo Bay prison in Cuba in preparation for military tribunals.
Mr Bush said the suspected terrorists included Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, considered the third most senior al-Qaeda leader, Ramzi Binalshibh, who was alleged to be a potential September 11 hijacker, and Abu Zubaydah, an alleged go-between for Osama Bin Laden.
