Companies face stricter sexism laws

Employers will no longer be able to defend themselves against sexual discrimination claims by arguing they are equally offensive to all staff, under new regulations to be introduced tomorrow.

The new rules join a raft of regulations due to be implemented tomorrow, including a tougher tax regime for non-doms, new corporate manslaughter laws and the end of taper relief on capital gains tax.
