ING sells Taiwan life assurance unit

ING, the Dutch banking and insurance group, on Monday agreed to sell its Taiwan life assurance business to Fubon Financial for $600m (€447m).

The sale announcement came after ING accepted a €10bn capital injection from the Dutch government and reported its first quarterly loss of €500m.
