Court upholds law on child pornography

The US Supreme Court on Monday handed a victory to the Bush administration in its efforts to fight child pornography on the internet, by upholding the constitutionality of a provision of a 2003 law making it a crime to promote or present materials as child pornography.

The Court has repeatedly nullified previous Congressional attempts to stamp out internet child porn by ruling that laws against it violate constitutional free speech protections.
