Easter egg discipline means trying not to gorge on all the chocolate at once.

On Friday, Cadbury Schweppes said its refusal to indulge the discounting demands of large retailers explained softer-than-expected first quarter confectionery sales in the UK. The timing of the Easter holiday did not help either, but the UK sweet maker was willing to sacrifice market share in the cause of improving margins.
