Growing numbers of employees are waking up to the idea that flexible working conditions and generous perks are as valuable as hefty pay packets.

The Great Place to Work Institute, a global research consultancy, each year compiles league tables of the best UK employers. In the most recent results it was clear that personal development was rated more highly than bonuses.
