Buoyant volumes boost Datacash

Datacash, a supplier of software and technology for processing credit card payments, said the volume of transactions rose 34 per cent in its first half, with those in August up 30 per cent on last year.

David Bailey, deputy chairman, said the business was being driven by online gambling and retail transactions, and the company was moving into the second half with confidence in spite of tough economic conditions.
